Weapons, Warfare, and Warriors
In Ancient Egypt, soldiers had a variety of weapons to use in war. In the old kingdom, hose weapons included shields, daggers, bows, arrows, spears. Sicklesword was a weapon used for the first time, by pharaoh Thutmose III.Many of the weapons came from Asia. The sicklesword came from Syria, like other weapons used at that time.
The chariot was also very important in welfare. It was a car with two wheels carrying a driver and an archer, with many weapons. They used it to fight but also to hunt. Egyptians changed the design of the chariot in different ways. They were very smart, and to make it faster, they change the chariots to make them lighter, so that the horses could pull it more easily. Even with all those changes, they broke down very easily.
